Copa del Mundo de Tow-in en Jaws

La Copa del Mundo de Surfing en Tow-in tendrá lugar previsiblemente el próximo mes en el terrofífico spot de Jaws. El equipo ganador se llevará 100.000 dólares en uno de los eventos que está atrayendo mayor atención por lo espectacular de su desarrollo, ya que se requieren olas de más de 8 metros para que se celebre. Tow-In World Cup

2003 JAWS Tow-In World Cup is on in 24 Hours/Friday 10th Feb.
Towsurfer.com/Santa Barbara, CA- 09 January 2002 : Rodney Kilborn has officially called the 24 hour green light for this years Jaws Tow-In World Cup Event. The contest is scheduled to be held on Friday January 10th 2003.

The North Pacific that has generated a large swell. Officials and sponsors are confident that Mother Nature will produce the right conditions for this contest and deliver, "The Greatest Show on Earth".

All last minute media individuals who would like to shoot event should call Carol Philips for press pass information at (808) 779-6222 or (808) 630-1149, or the Press Pass Hotline at (808) 960-0018

We wish all competitors well being, good luck and most of all a very fun and great experience. We would also like to wish Carlos Burle and Vitor Lopez both a speedy recovery.

On Call: Red-Yellow-Green Light System

Because of the travel involved for some of this years contestants and contest officials, there is a 48-hour (standby) notice for the contest followed by a 24-hour (contest is on) notice. Rodney Kilborn has been monitoring buoy reports along with other resourceful meteorological data, and has made the call.

Contest Light System is as follows:

Red Light -Waiting Period
Yellow Light -48 hour standby notice
Green Light -24 hour contest is on notice
